Andy Luger Comments on Libby Trial
When Andy Luger was a federal prosecutor in Brooklyn, he once opposed defense attorney Theodore Wells in a tax evasion and embezzlement case against a former U.S. Congressman. Wells now represents I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby in a perjury trial relating to the release of information about Valerie Plame, the wife of a prominent Iraq war critic. The New York Times recently quoted Andy on his experience of Wells: "He was able to navigate complex issues in a way that made them very understandable to a lay jury….He was able to do something that not all trial lawyers can do," Andy explained. "He can present himself as personally easygoing and yet be very commanding." Contact Andy Luger about his white collar criminal defense practice.
