Greene Espel’s longstanding commitment to pro bono representation recently resulted in a victory for our client in Dunn v. UCARE Minnesota and Department of Employment and Economic Development. Earlier this year, Greene Espel’s client won before the Minnesota Court of Appeals, which held that the unemployment law judge had applied the incorrect legal standard in finding our client ineligible for benefits.On remand, the unemployment law judge conducted a two day hearing and issued a decision declaring our client eligible for unemployment benefits. Robin Wolpert and paralegal Ben Legatt handled the case as part of the Court of Appeals pro bono program for unemployment compensation benefits appeals.
